Equine Veterinary Services:
Horses, ponies, mules and donkeys
All equine services include a basic wellness exam to ensure that the animal is healthy. This exam also trains the horse to stand quietly for heart and lung auscultation and for temperature assessment. As such, regular annual or biannual veterinary care reduces the stress of all involved in the event of an illness or injury. The wellness exam gives the veterinarian and the owner a baseline for what is “normal” for each individual animal, which is useful for comparison when an animal is sick or injured.
